TimeStamp inconsistencies in Jumbo datasets after restoring from a backup
We are having problems with a high-priority database restore we are trying to complete from our Production machine to our Test/Development machine. Our backup-software supplier insists that the restore worked correctly, but that the TimeStamps of jumbo dataset headers are inconsistent.

They suggested using Adager's Therapy to fix the timestamp problem; would you please email the procedure to do so ASAP as we plan to be in on Sunday to try & resolve.

Following is the problem we're encountering:

SUPRTOOL/iX/Copyright Robelle Consulting Ltd. 1981-1997. Type H for help. The problem
There is a known problem with restoring jumbo datasets after having stored them with any online backup method (see HP's SR1653284398.)

According to HP, jumbo datasets interact with online storing in such a way that the rollback structures of the transaction manager (XM) get out of synchrony when restoring.

The Adager solution
Adager detects (and gives you the opportunity to correct) this condition during its standard pre-process consistency check (after you have supplied the database name to Adager).

Be sure that you are running Adager interactively (in session mode), logged on as the database's creator in the database's group and account. Nobody else (including background batch processes) should be connected to your database, because Adager requires exclusive access (Adager lets you know if somebody else is accessing your database and waits until conditions are right).

Answer "yes" when Adager asks you whether you want to perform therapy. Adager automatically performs the re-synchronization of your jumbo dataset structures. The whole process takes just a few moments.

The HP solution
Depending on your version of IMAGE, there is also a JCW which you can use to bypass DBOPEN's timestamp check (set JCW MFDDEBUG to 1024).
