Disc-space requirements

When adding new datasets to a database
When adding new datasets to a database, is disc space required for a temporary copy of the entire database?

No. That would not be very Adager-like. All you need is space for the new datasets.

There is one special case, though: Adding a new detail dataset (even a small detail dataset with modest disc-space requirements) and specifying paths to existing masters. This also requires temporary disc space for the masters in question, because Adager must include the appropriate ChainHeads.
